on Independence Day

Lubbock has a really fun Fourth celebration. We started out at the parade in the morning and then got to see some of our friends that are in a band perform at the street festival. We had a cookout with friends and ended the day with fireworks. I didn't once bring out the camera for the cookout or fireworks, but Jonas enjoyed the slip-n-slide at the cookout and slept through the fireworks...hallelujah! We actually just watched from our car this year because we were both so exhausted from chasing him around all day long.
